How to replace a single-wide's Walls with Drywall in a Mobile Home.

The main breaker in the panel should be turned off.If all the power is off, it's safer to remove the wall covering than it is to move the electrical boxes.

All the trim from the walls should be removed.Use a hammer and pry bar to remove it.Remove the trim so it doesn't become a hazard for you or anyone else.Put the nails in the jar.

The covers should be removed using a flat-head screwdriver.The cover and screws should be kept in a safe place.

The seams should be taped with fiberglass mesh and hot mud.Hot mud sets to a hard consistency that resists cracking.Put a coat of mud on each seam, cover the seam with tape and top-coat it immediately with more mud.Once the mud sets, you can't sand it.

Two or more coats of all-purpose non-setting joint compound is required to finish the drywall.To feather the edges into the wall, apply and remove each coat with a knife.Allow the coats to dry.

The final coat of mud should be sanded andprimed with a primer.Paint with latex wall paint.
