What are the similarities between Confucianism and Shintoism.

Baso was a follower of the Zen Master. The time this haiku was born, he was living in a small hut by the side of a pond. One day after a brief rain, Master Buko visited Baso and asked, "How is your understanding these days?"Knowledge is borrowed and understanding is one's own.Knowledge comes from understanding wells.Knowledge is ugly because it is secondhand.Knowledge cannot become part of your being. It won't get roots into you, it will remain alien. It is your own understanding that grows out of you.It liberates beauty because it is authentically yours.Truth is no longer truth if it is borrowed from anyone.A borrowed truth is a lie.It becomes a lie when truth is said.Truth cannot be heard or read.Truth is going to be more than just a part of your memory. Each part of your being should feel the truth. It has to be a feeling. The breath should be full.It should circulate in your blood andpulsate in you.You become it when truth is understood."Baso, how is your understanding these days?" was the question asked by the master.Truth is always growing.Truth is a movement. It is not static. It's a dance. It is like growing trees and rivers.Truth is never a static phenomenon. It is not static; it is moving. To be alive, it has to move.Only death is stagnant. The people who are dead may look alive on the surface, but their truth is no longer growing.Their soul is not growing anymore.Truth is not an idea but your very being. The Master is not asking about the past.Knowledge and imagination are related to the past and the future. He is asking about the present and the immediate.Rain has passed Green moss. The rain has passed and green moss is moist. It is good, but not great. It is over.It is not immediate anymore. It is a memory that is no longer being experienced. The answer was good but not great. If the answer is really as it should be, and not with the potential of a man like Baso, a Master is never satisfied.Nobody knows who his master is.Baso is the reason he is known. The Master cannot be satisfied easily.Remember it!You will be put to hard tasks if you have more potential. The Master will be angry with you.He will be very hard on you.The Master might have nodded his head in consent, but not to Baso, if it had come from someone of lesser potential. The gap is enough even a few minutes. The rain has stopped, the clouds have dispersed, and the sun is shining on the old pond. The Master does not mean to talk more about it when he says, "Say something more!"He doesn't mean more in a quantitative sense. He means to say something deeper or more intense.Say something qualitatively!Baso heard a frog jumping into the pond. The sound of water is what Frog jumps in, he said.Tao doesn't know a past or a future. There is only one kind of time that Tao knows about. There is only one person who knows this now.If you let your mind go, there is no future or past.Past and future are not static. There is only one present. How can you call it present when there is no past, no future? The meaning of present is limited to past and future. The present is sandwiched between the past and the future.Past and future disappear if you have taken them away. When time disappears and one is here now, no one will be in the past or the future. When time is not and you are nowhere else, this is the moment of enlightenment. There is no mind when there isn't time.Time and mind are related. The more time you have, the more you are aware of it.It is because of the mind that time-consciousness has arisen in the Western world. The first behaviorists of the world are Confucians.B. F. Skinner is a follower of Pavlov.

A man can be changed through punishment and reward. The technique has been used by the moralists. You punish the child if he goes against you.Through punishment and conditioning his mind.

Maoists are doing things that are very old in China. It was taught very well by Confucius. The idea needs to be understood. If you torture a man, he can be manipulated.A man can be manipulated. That is what has been done to your children by your parents and society. What are you doing to criminals?Being cruel to them. They are trying to condition their mind. The priest talks about hell and heaven. There is an idea of hell and heaven. The idea of punishment and reward is simple. You will be punished in hell if you don't follow the priest.Everyone will start trembling because they have painted hell in such colors. One begins to hold on to oneself. The Pathless Path Buddhism and Confucianism are said to be polar opposites.Confucianism is a better way of being a gentleman, nice and cultured. While Buddhism is not a study, Confucianism is an education of the personality.Buddhism is against personality. The more cultured the personality is, the harder it is to get in.The old religion of Shinto in Japan dissolved into Buddhism, just as a river and an ocean meet.Shinto and Zen are growing together.Shinto temples and monasteries are where Zen masters live.Shinto was a primitive religion when the philosophy of meditation came to Japan.People's hearts were not dancing with it.There was a vacuum. The philosophy of meditation came after they needed something to fill the vacuum.Osho is known for his revolutionary contribution to the science of inner transformation, with an approach to meditation that acknowledges the accelerated pace of contemporary life. His unique Meditations are designed to first release the accumulated stresses of body and mind, so that it is easier to take an experience of stillness and thought-free relaxation into daily life.Osho can be reached at 888-492-0.

Taoists are very different from other religions. One of its main beliefs is that it is possible to get immortality through endless zazen practices and physical practices, not evil black magic and spells. The elements of metal, wood, water, fire and soil can be absorbed into their bodies. The more they do it, the longer they live and the more powerful they become.Taoism doesn't preach salvation. It encourages people to feel and understand nature, and forget the inner me, like the feeling of ashes to ashes, dust to dust.It sounds cold.I don't think you can call Confucianism a religion. It is a kind of ideology. It does not have the same doctrine as other religions. There is no salvation, no heaven, and no afterlife. The core values of Confucianism are ethics, but all of them are about politics and worldly matters. The ancient feudal system uses Confuciansim as an ideology.Women were turned into baby bearers and private property by Confuciansim.Confuciansim is not the same as a saint.Confuciansim was good at teaching people virtues and wisdom. We call him a great teacher. The ruling class took advantage of it.If you want to find nobility or virtues in Confuciansim, you will find them between the lines. If you want to find humanism or democracy in it, forget it.Some people in China resist Confuciansim, but most of us ignore it.There are no Confucian fanatics or even loyal followers because it is not a religion at all.

I don't want to suggest that there is anything wrong with Tim's response, but I have a different take on it.The paths are large and diverse. Both of us can be right.I want to draw parallels between these three paths and Western culture.Shintoism is a religion in Japan. It is similar to Native American religion in the US.I know that it is not the same as Buddhism which is popular in Japan.Taoists are more of a philosophy than a religion. It did go through that phase of immortality, but I think it's similar to the middle ages when it was a big deal in Europe.I would say that the philosophy of Taoists says that there are two things that come together.Everything is a blessing and a curse.Social order is big on Confucianism. There are some benefits to this approach that aren't immediately apparent to our individualism in the West. The approach taught that everyone in the family has a part to play.Every member of the family describes their responsibilities in the opening song of Fiddler on the Roof. This is part of Confucianism.Shintoism is a religion that is native to the area. There is a philosophy called taoism.Social rules and behaviors are part of Confucianism.

Shinto is not an orthodox practice and not related to Taoism, so I want to see what people think about it.They are popular in China and have been for years. They don't cultivate longevity in the worldly Daoist small paths. Most small worldly paths use sorcery and fortune-telling because they are all about exorcising evil and healing people. There is a page for higher level of practice. There are two places where Daoist teaching can be found. To comprehend the ancient scriptures, you need to be an excellent Chinese scholar. You will need a high level master who is difficult to come by.You can learn about the Taoist belief from an online lecture. The Buddha School is not related to Buddhism or Daoism. There are five sets of exercises.Tibetans, Christians, and other Buddhists have been targeted for persecution in China. The most offensive violation of the human right is organ harvesting.
