Is it safe to swim at Iona Beach?
You can watch fishing boats and large commercial ships pass by. The beach itself is nice brown Fraser River silt. There's plenty of driftwood around. The water is not safe to swim in.

Are dogs allowed at Iona Beach?
Iona Beach Regional Park in Richmond, BC, has a beautiful jetty which stretches 4 kilometers into the ocean - that's an 8km round trip walk or bike ride! Dogs are allowed off-leash on the lower roadway of the Iona Jetty but they must be on-leash on the trail (on top of the jetty) and everywhere else in the park.
