A house is Bless a house.

It has been a long time since you moved into your new home. You want it to stay that way because it is perfect in every way.If you are a religious or spiritual person, you might find that blessing your home brings you great peace of mind.To find out how to perform a house blessing that appeals to you, start with Step 1 below.

Step 1: A Christian blessing is performed.

The blessing of a Christian household can be found in many churches. The owner of the house may perform the blessing on their own.If you would like to have your house blessed by an ordination priest, you can invite him to perform the blessing at your home. The priest will walk from room to room sprinkling holy water. He can recite one or more passages from the bible as he walks. If you want to bless the house yourself, you can use anointing oil to mark a cross on the windows and doors. As you mark the sign of the cross, ask God to bless the room.In the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for peace and joy in this room, or for the Holy Spirit to flow through and fill this home.

Step 2: A Jewish blessing can be performed.

There are many Jewish traditions associated with moving into a new house or blessing an old one.Jewish families are required to affix a mezuzah to the doorways of their new home."Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to affix a mezuzah" is the following prayer. It is believed that Tuesday is the best day for moving into a new home, that bread and salt should be the first things to enter the house, and that after moving in a Chanukat Habayit or housewarming party friends and family should gather. It's tradition to eat the first fruit of the new season while chanting the shehecheyanu blessing.

Step 3: A Hindu blessing is performed.

Different regions have different Hindu house blessings. The housewarming ceremony is second only to a couple's wedding day in some places. On the morning the homeowners move into their new home, the house blessing must be performed. The local Hindu priest must choose an appropriate move-in date.It is customary for homeowners to provide a gift tray or dakshina for the priest to use during the ceremony. The gift tray usually contains items such as raw, washed rice, mango leaves, ghee, coins, herbs, spices, fruit and flowers. The homeowners will often sit in front of the fireplace during the ceremony, wearing their best clothes and repeating their prayers. The Hindu gods will usually grant prosperity, purity and serenity to the people of the house when the priest recites a prosperity prayer. To find out how the housewarming ceremony is performed in your region, contact a priest at your local Hindu temple.

Step 4: An Islamic blessing is performed.

The majority of Muslim people bless their house by saying prayers. It is a good idea to perform a two cycle prayer when moving into a new house. The Prophetic Supplication says, "I seek refuge for you in the perfect words of Allaah from every devil, harmful thing, and accusing eye."It is recommended that you invite your friends and family over for dinner, as feeding others is seen as a charitable act, and a way of showing gratitude to Allah. You and your guests can recite passages from the Qur'an at this dinner. When you first move in, you can bless your house by using the following prayer: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allaah from the evil of that which He has created."If you repeat this prayer three times, no harm will come to you.

Step 5: A Buddhist blessing is performed.

When a new house is built to protect it's inhabitants, a ceremony known as Khuan Ban Mai is performed. The ceremony is performed by a group of nine monks who must be invited to the house early on the morning of the ceremony. The monks perform a ritual with sacred water and wax candles. It is believed that the wax will wash away evil and sorrow. The monks chant prayers in the Pali language while passing a white string through their hands. The houses and their inhabitants are believed to be protected by the vibrations from the chanted prayers. After the ceremony, the monks sit down to a meal prepared by the host family and their friends and neighbors.A monk sprinkles holy water in each room of the house before they leave. The rest of the guests sit down to eat after the monks leave. In the afternoon, they perform the thread ceremony, where guests wrap a white thread around the homeowners and give them their blessing.

Step 6: Take care of your home.

Before you perform a house blessing, you should clean and de-clutter your home.Fresh energy will enter the home when you are in a more positive frame of mind.

Step 7: Friends and family are invited.

It's a good idea to invite your friends and family to the house blessing ritual. They can join hands by standing in a circle.

Step 8: A candle is lit.

Pink is a symbol of love and kindness.

Step 9: Share your blessings.

There is a pink candle in the circle. The person holding the candle should bless the home."may this home be a sacred dwelling for you and your family and may those who enter feel peace and love" are examples of blessings.

Step 10: You can state your intentions by walking to each room of the house.

After the blessing, you may want to carry the pink candle into each room of the house and state your intentions, whether it is the bedroom, the baby's room or the kitchen.

Step 11: Allow the candle to be lit for an hour.

When the ceremony is over, place the pink candle in a central location in the house and allow it to burn for at least an hour.

Step 12: All East-facing doors and windows should be opened.

This allows the sun's life-giving energy to come into your home.
