Blowguns can be made from many materials.If you need one quickly for a classroom or office prank, it can be difficult to find the right size or shape.It is easy to make a blowgun with a piece of paper and tape.
Step 1: You should get a sheet of paper.
You can use any sort of rectangular paper, but something that is around 812 by 11 inches would be ideal.Use a bright, fun color for a blowgun.White, black, grey, tan, and army green are neutral colors that can be used to be stealthy.
Step 2: Wrap the paper around the tube.
The tube should be close to your finger.The paper can be rolled around a pen or pencil.When you are done, be sure to slide it out.
Step 3: Wrap a piece of tape around the middle of the tube.
If you want to make your blow gun look more interesting, you can use colored washi tape.
Step 4: There is more tape between the first three pieces.
It's not necessary to wrap the tape around the tube this time.Place short strips of tape between the middle and end pieces.The flaps will be held down by this.
Step 5: Wrap the end of the tape around your mouth.
The paper will be protected from getting ruined.Wrap a piece of tape around the end of the tube.Press the tape against the walls after Tucking it back into the tube.If your tube is small, you may have to use a pen or pencil.
Step 6: Take a piece of paper and cut it into several pieces.
The rectangles should be about 1 inch wide and 2 to 3 inches long.One dart will be made by each piece of paper.You can make as many darts as you want.
Step 7: Start from the upper left hand side of the cone.
You can use a pencil to curve the paper.Don't worry if the dart is too wide at the end.It will be fixed in a moment.
Step 8: Wrap a piece of tape around it.
To see the paper, use clear tape.This is your dart.
Step 9: The dart's tip should be placed at the end of the blowgun.
Don't force the dart into it.You are ready to go if it falls through the blowgun.If it won't fit all the way into the blowgun, make a mark on the dart.You can use a pen or pencil.
Step 10: Remove the dart from the blowgun and trim it down if necessary.
You can skip this step if the dart fell through the blowgun.If you had to make a mark, cut the dart in half and use the mark as a guide.The dart may come undone after you cut it.Wrap more tape around it if that happens.
Step 11: If you plan on being responsible, then you should add a toothpick.
If you fire paper darts, they can hurt someone.The darts will hurt more.toothpick darts should not be fired at another person or animal.They can be fired at balloons and other targets.If you want to slide a toothpick into the hole, you need to trim the tip of the dart.Push a toothpick into the hole and it will stick out.To hold the toothpick in place, Wrap some tape around the tip of the dart.Remove the toothpick from the open/wider end of the dart.
Step 12: The blowgun can be used.
The dart should be pushed into the mouth of the blowgun.To point the blowgun at your target, hold it up to your lips.Give the blowgun a quick blow.
