A smokey eye effect can be achieved.

Anyone who wears makeup can like the look of a smoky eye. It's a simple look to achieve with the right colors and method.

Step 1: Choose colors that make your eyes look bigger.

You can give your eyes a boost by using different eyeshadow and eyeliner colors.Blue eyes are light, natural tones like coral and champagne.Your pale eyes may be overshadowed by an overly dark, smoky look. Most colors work with brown eyes.A splash of black shadow in the crease of your eye will make your eyes pop.Green eyes have purple and brown color.Grey eyes have sooty and smoky shades of grey, blue, and silver. You can see green and gold in your eyes with metallics and pastels. It's best to aim for something delicate, like a dusty pink or a soft copper or gold.

Step 2: Pick your eyeliner.

The pencil eyeliner is rich and creamy. It will be easier to blend.Classic eyeliner colors include dark brown, grey, and black for the upper lid and softer shades of the same colors on your lower lashes.Eyeliners come in a variety of forms. You can apply eyeshadow with a brush.A good liner will give you a rich color.A pencil is the easiest for beginners.

Step 3: Pick your eye makeup.

A good eyeshadow will have a rich color and smooth texture.A classic smoky eye shadow color is brown, but you can experiment with other colors as well.Pick 2 to 3 eyeshadow colors. You can get a lighter eyelid color and a darker one for your crease from the same family.A third color is used to highlight the brow bone just above the crease.Pick a transition color that is close to your skin tone and put it in your crease.Blending out darker colors will be easier with this.

Step 4: Get something to put on your eyes.

If you want to make your eyeshadow look more rich and vibrant, you should use an eye primer.

Step 5: Pick up some brushes

A good set of brushes can add great detail to a smokey eye look. This will make it look professional. If you are using it to apply eyeliner, consider getting the angled definer brush.

Step 6: It is a good idea to choose complimentary makeup.

If you want to wear makeup with your smoky eye, you should have an idea of what it will look like.If you are going for a dramatic smoky eye, you may want to choose a neutral lipstick so as not to appear overly made up.Go darker if you are shading your brows. It will help balance the face.If you use a full coverage foundation, it will distract from the eyes.

Step 7: You can apply a foundation or eye primer to your eyes.

You can use a finger, a brush, or a sponge.

Step 8: The upper waterline is where you apply eyeliner.

This will make your eyes look bigger.Draw on the back of your hand to warm up your eyeliner. To apply, raise your chin and gently lift the outer corner of your eyelid upward to expose your waterline. With your dominant hand, hold the eyeliner vertically, and gently run its tip back and forth a few times, stopping about 1/3 of the way in toward your inner eye corner.

Step 9: Apply eyeshadow.

The lighter shade is better for 2 colors of eyeshadow. The middle shade is used if you are using 3 colors of eyeshadow. To apply eyeshadow, use an eyeshadow brush.Blow lightly on the brush after dipping it into the shadow to help with an even application.Any eyeshadow that falls onto your cheeks will be prevented by this. You can use your ring finger if you don't have an eyeshadow brush.Start in the middle of your eyelid and use your finger to pat the shadow back and forth on your lid.

Step 10: The eyeshadow should be applied to your eye crease.

If you use the 2- or 3-shade method, apply the darkest shade of eyeshadow to your eye crease. If you only use one shade of eyeshadow, apply it to your eye crease. If you want to use a crease brush, start at the end of your outer eye and move the brush to your inner eye corner, then stop before the last quarter of the crease.Place your ring finger in the center of your eye crease using your finger. The finger tip should be run back and forth in the sockets.

Step 11: The eyeshadow should be put upward.

Blending the shadow from your eye crease upward will remove any hard lines.Change the angle of your finger so that it is diagonal, then blend the shadow upward, further into your eye crease. It is advisable to blend low towards the brow.To give the eye shadow an upward curve, flick your brush or finger upward at the outer edge of your eye.You can use tape to get a sharp line.If it's hard to blend out, use a transition shade on the brush.

Step 12: You should consider applying eyeliner to your upper lashes.

You can use a pencil or liquid eyeliner for this.Start in the middle of your lash line, then in short, gentle strokes, pull the outward eyeliner back through the center and toward your inner eye corner. You can smudge the eyeliner with a smudge brush, Q-tip, or finger if you want it to stand out from the eyeshadow in a harsh line.If you only use one shade of eyeshadow, eyeliner is a must as it is necessary for creating that dark-to-light look the smoky eye is known for.If you use a lot of eyeshadow, you can skip the eyeliner. If you don't like the look of the eyeliner at the corners of your eyes, you can adjust it by gently nudging it with a Q-tip and applying a small amount of face cream.

Step 13: Everything should be blended together.

If you want to get rid of lines in your eyeshadow, start at the outer corner of your eye and move toward the inner corner, using a blending brush. If you only use 1 shade of eyeshadow and a slightly darker eyeliner, you have already blended away the harsh lines by using the eyeliner too much.To make the eyeshadow look better, you may want to use a Blending brush over the top edge.

Step 14: Put 2 coats of mascara on your eyes.

For a more subtle look, choose a mascara in a dark brown, soft black, or grey; for more drama, use a very black mascara.First, apply a long mascara. Then apply a volumizing mascara to your eyelashes and let it dry.Between your first and second applications of mascara, make sure to dust a small amount of baby powder on your lashes.Put mascara on your lashes while they're in the eyelash curler. You can apply false lashes at this point.

Step 15: The area around your eyes needs to be cleaned up.

If your makeup has fallen on to your face, now is the time to clean it up.A fan brush is ideal for brushing them away.If you get this problem a lot, you should put some loose powder under your eyes. The shadow will not be absorbed into your foundation. You can sweep your eye makeup away with a fan brush.

Step 16: Enjoy your smoky eyes!

Get a sense for what looks good with the smoky eye by playing around with your makeup.Nude lips and formal wear will look nice if you have a dramatic smoky eye.

Step 17: If you want to apply a nude shimmering color to your brow bone, consider doing so.

This will be your lightest shade if you use the 3-shade method of smoky eye makeup.A highlighting balm or powder can be used for this step.

Step 18: If you want to make your eyes look larger, line your lower waterline with white eyeliner.

smokey eyes can make your eyes look smaller.Nude-colored eyeliner is a more natural look.Pull down on your cheek with your non-dominant hand to expose your lower waterline.Pull down on your cheek and use your dominant hand to color your lower waterline in white. If you do this before you line your lower lash line, the white will pick up any liner you have on it and put it on your waterline.

Step 19: For a more dramatic look, add a small amount of eyeliner to your lower lashes.

This can make your eyes look bigger. It can be the same shade as before.

Step 20: A clear complexion will be created.

If your skin is clear, use a tinted moisturizers or aBB cream to even it out.You can use your hands, a makeup sponge, or a foundation brush.

Step 21: Apply blush to your face.

When you smile, apply a natural-looking shade of blush to the apples of your cheeks and pull it upwards. When you're flushed, the perfect shade of blush will match the color of your cheeks.

Step 22: Make your face look bigger.

If you want to make your face stand out, apply a small amount of highlighting cream or powder. The dip at the centre of your upper lip is one of the key areas.

Step 23: It's a good idea to add a dusting of translucent powder to your face.

This will help give your skin a creamy glow.

Step 24: You can apply lipstick.

A neutral lip and smoky eyes are recommended by a lot of makeup artists.Adding some gloss to your lips will make them look juicy. If you want to wear a more dramatic color, go with a neutral eye.
