The facility of scribe is meant for only those candidates as mentioned above who have disability of 40 % or more and who have physical limitations to write including that of speed. Please ensure you are eligible to use a scribe as per the Government of India rules governing the recruitment of Persons with Disabilities.
What is scribe category?
A Scribe category is backed by multiple partitions spread across multiple LogDevice clusters. Once LogDevice persistently stores a record in a partition, the record becomes available for reading. Again, note that Scribe retains records in LogDevice for a limited amount of time — typically a few days.7 Oct 2019
How can a student be a scribe?
Who is eligible to have a Scribe? Generally, students who have an impairment that restricts the ability to hand-write, type or maintain the posture required for writing, or students who, as a result of an impairment, present information better in oral than written form, may require an amanuensis.
How do you scribe in exams?
- Read what they are asked to read and repeat where asked.
- Write down exactly what the student says.
- Read back what has been dictated, if requested.
- Make alterations to what has been written.
What is scribing in college?
Scribes. For students whose disabilities prevent them from writing in-class assignments or performing in-class hands-on activities, Disability Services will provide an in-class scribe. The duties of the scribe are to write (by hand or computer) verbatim what the student with the disability dictates.
