Step 1: Know what you're doing.
One of the most important parts of being a smart manager is being respected and being able to perform the task much easier.
Step 2: You should manage yourself well.
If you enhance yourself then every activity that you do will be enhanced, because people forget that they themselves are doing the activity.
Step 3: You should be aware of your goals and time limits.
Time limits make you smarter because you have to be able to do a lot of things in a short amount of time.Measure your progress by knowing your goals.
Step 4: Know what's happening with your team.
Are they focused?Are they doing well?Do they work well together?You can tailor the work to the needs of the team by gaining basic but vital intelligence on your team.
Step 5: The strengths and weaknesses of your team are known.
It would be foolish to give mathematics work to the linguist of your team in order to get the written work done by the mathematician.The team can be managed so that they learn from one another.
Step 6: The team should be kept inspired and high in spirits.
If a team is inspired, they will be full of energy and work to the best of their ability, if not then they'll hate coming into work.Good spirited competition, good dress code, scheduled 'play' time such as nights out and team building exercises and regular breaks are some of the ways to keep morale high.
Step 7: Accept realities while being assertive.
It is important that the team is respected.People make mistakes, not everything will be perfect, and on occasion things happen that you didn't intend.If you start shouting at everyone or being ignorant of the realities, this will cause the team to lose respect and thus the progress will be halted.
