Become positive, happy and hopeful.

Struggles are a part of life, and sometimes it can be difficult to stay upbeat. It is possible to change for the better and happiness comes from the inside. If you want to be a positive, happy, and optimistic person, you need to create the right mindset and improve how you feel about your life.Self-care is the best way to stay at your best!

Step 1: Choose from a list.

A healthy mindset can be cultivated with the help of a mantra. The part of your brain that makes self-judgmental thoughts is turned off when you're chanting. You can either use a positive quote or create your own.Every morning or several times throughout the day, chant your slogan. You can put your mantra on your fridge, bathroom mirror, or wall.If I believe in it, I can achieve it.

Step 2: Positive self-talk should be used.

How you talk to yourself is important because you spend all day with yourself. You would talk to your friend in the same way you would to yourself.Say nice things to yourself. If you catch yourself saying something mean, switch it to be positive. You can tell yourself, for example, "I am capable, I am a hard worker who can achieve success, or I always do my best."Don't be mad at yourself when this happens.Turn it around. It is okay to be afraid when trying something new.I am going to do my best, this is an opportunity to learn.

Step 3: Don't let your negative thought patterns get in the way.

Positive, optimistic thoughts can be prevented by negative thought patterns. If you notice when you are engaged in them and questioning your conclusions, you can fix them.To focus on the negative, negative thought patterns include Filtering out positive experiences.Personalizing negative events so that they are your fault. The worst will happen.Every situation is either good or bad.

Step 4: Take difficult situations and make them better.

Obstacles and setbacks are normal in life. It's important how you approach them.If you want to see them in a more positive light, look for something positive in the situation. You may be worried about trying something new.You don't have to ignore negative feelings about a hard situation if you tell yourself, "This is a great opportunity to try something new."Look for opportunities for growth.

Step 5: Think of all the things that could go wrong.

Pessimistic people think about what could go wrong. You can change that mindset by looking for things that could work out.You can train your mind to think optimistically over time. When you start to worry, make a list of possible positives. You can type it on your phone, list it in your head, or write it down.It might be difficult to not think of things that can go wrong.Answer the negative thought with a positive thought. You might think that group projects always end up with me doing all of the work but getting less credit, but that's not true.

Step 6: Things should not be labeled as "good" or "bad."

Think of everything as an opportunity.Humans are not born with a concept of good or bad.Rejecting the labels you have learned can change how you approach life.If you can only afford the studio apartment, you might label it as good or bad.Challenge the label by focusing on why the studio is good, such as that it provides shelter.

Step 7: It's a good idea to think about the positive aspects of your life.

Your brain learns that it's a priority when you spend more time thinking about it.Thinking about good experiences can make you feel better. There are photos that remind you of good times. It's a good idea to post your favorite positive quotes around your home.Take the time to review your journal.
