Over 135 million m2 of wooden floors around the world have been coated with Traffic.

Bona Traffic is the leader of the wood flooring lacquer world and is used extensively in commercial premises where high levels of resistance to wear are needed.

We have used Bona Traffic many times and have positive things to say about it.The drying times for Bona Mega and Bona Novia are slightly longer at 3-4 hours per coat.Bona Traffic is a 2-part formula, meaning you pour part b into part a, give it a good shake up, leave for 5-10 minutes then apply as you would any other lacquer, we would strongly advise that both part A and part B are shaken vigorously as per manufacturers instructions.

Bona recommends a waterborne primer coat.If the area is to be used for a domestic situation, we would recommend 1 x coat of Primer and 2 x coats of Traffic, if you want a high quality durable finish.Depending on traffic levels.

Bona Traffic will apply beautifully on your wooden floor whether you use a roller or a more professional 'T' bar type of application.

If you follow the instructions and recommendations of the manufacturer, you will get a hard wearing durable surface that will give you years of faithful service.

The Bona Traffic product has a 5 hour pot life, which means that if you have mixed more than you are going to use in a day, then what is left in the pot will be un-usable.

Further applications/coats of Bona Traffic would be recommended in very demanding environments.

In the UK, top quality always comes at a premium, which is why there are no 'cons' or bad points against Bona Traffic.Bona recommends light use a minimum of 8 hours after the final coat has been applied to your floor.

The coverage is excellent, we get at least 10m2 per litres of traffic, but it is dependent on many variables.

Bona Traffic comes in a 4.5 liter can and a 0.45 liter bottle of hardner and is available in two different sheen levels.

It would depend on the end user's choice as to what aesthetic sheen level best suits the particular area/room that the product is being applied into.

The simple answer is as many as you like, but this always relates to cost and the time involved in the project. An extra coat of lacquer will be at an extra cost if you choose to use a Professional Floor Sanding company.A 20m2 lounge should cost between £80 and £120 for a 4th coat of lacquer.

Bona Traffic can be applied to a wood floor in a number of ways, a floor sanding professional will use a variety of application methods depending on the size of the project.

The Mini Paint Roller with a foam refill is cheap but does a great job at cutting in.The manufacturers recommended products are usually twice the price of perfectly suitable alternatives.
