Can I wash my hair after a Keratin Treatment?

I get asked a lot of different questions on this topic, and I understand it.

The treatment is not cheap.The last thing you want to do is ruin it.

I have seen people who have messed up their treatment with bad hair care products that made their hair look bad.

I do smoothing treatments every 4 months, and I can tell you that the first 3 days are the most difficult to get by.

It is all about good planning and making sure you have the right products for your hair type.

You don't want to head out with a greasy head and find out that it's out of stock.

You try to buy it online at the last minute, but it won't reach you until the next week.

If you choose to do your treatment at home, you should plan your aftercare products in advance.

I check with my hairdresser a week before my appointment to see if she has the products in stock or if I have to buy them elsewhere.

Here is the minimum you need to wash your hair after a Brazilian keratin treatment.

This is the longest wait time I have ever seen.I stick with three days to be on the safer side.

The normal body temperature is 38C, so run some water just above it when you are in the shower.You do not want the water to be too hot.

38C is the ideal temperature to keep your hair clean and protect it from irritation.

You don't want this to happen if youaturate the hair.The coating on the skin can break if the cuticles are allowed to flex.

Even though the shampoo is sulfate-free, you should only use it on the hair.

Once you have washed your hair thoroughly, rinse the shampoo out.

A conditioner is used to balance the hair.They are not good for the hair on the head.Make sure your conditioner isn't too close to the hair.It may leave a waxy build up due to its ingredients.

Since the hair is not slippy enough for the brush to glide, a wet brush can cause more knots.

The material of this towel is smooth and does not cause static in the hair.

In the first 2 weeks, heat is bad for hair.Direct heat from a blow dryer can melt the coating.

Depending on how greasy your hair is, how often you need to wash it.

Even if you use a sulfate-free hair product, it will fade with frequent washing.It is almost the same as a color treatment.

How are you supposed to keep your hair clean if you don't wash it often?

Since you only apply dry shampoo to the roots, it shouldn't affect the coating on the hair shafts.

I use a boar bristle brush to remove dirt and oils from my hair.

I feel using this brush in between washes helps to clear and soothe my hair.

A boar bristle brush can help distribute your hair's natural oils evenly.

Don't panic.If your hair gets wet before the first wash, use a microfiber towel to absorb the water without rubbing it on the hair.

I know it is not a big deal.The first 3 days are when you can wet your hair.

If you don't rub it with a cotton towel, you'll be fine.Don't do it deliberately.

If you are willing to pay more, premium treatments can be washed on the same day.

The simple air-drying method is the best way to dry your hair after the treatment.You can use a microfiber towel to remove excess water from your body of water.

It is normal.The smell of the coating will last for a few days.

After 3 weeks, you can use heat, but not when your hair is wet.

It's easier to wash your hair after a treatment if you have good planning and the right hair products.
