How do you restore sticky Velcro?
Roll a piece of duct tape loosely around the index and middle fingers of your dominant hand with the sticky side out. Brace the Velcro with your other hand and roll the duct tape in long, even strokes away from your hand. This will take some time and require a firm touch.
Can you renew Velcro?
Velcro is useful for its adjustability as well as its re-usability. In many cases, however, Velcro can be restored to some, if not all, of its former strength with a simple cleaning of the hair, fiber, sediment or gunk that's clogging it.
How do you fix a fuzzy side of Velcro?
Holding the lit match in one hand and the fuzzy side of the Velcro in the other, slowly bring the match about one inch away from the fuzzy Velcro strip. Carefully move the two closer until you can see the fuzzy side curling back on itself away from the heat. Move the match away after you see the fibers curl.
