The stain roller and pole can be used to apply stain to concrete.Because stain is thinner than paint, don't apply too much stain to the roller or it will ruin the concrete.Roll in one direction only.

The finished result will look more like you painted it if you use a roller.

If the concrete was just poured, you want to wait at least 30 days.If your concrete is clean and ready to go, roll the stain on using long strokes of equal pressure.

Make sure the air temp is not too cold or hot.For the best look, 2 coats may be required.

If you are using an acid-based stain and/or a transparent or semi-transparent, I would recommend using a backpack sprayer instead of a paint roller.

The Field King Professional Backpack Sprayer has 4.5 stars on Amazon. You can see the current price by clicking the link.

It is an Amazon's Choice product and comes with free shipping as well.I would not apply concrete stain with anything else.

Wait at least a month after the concrete is poured. The curing process allows the excess water in the concrete to evaporate.

If you don't allow it to evaporate, any stains will not soak into the concrete and may end up peeling off.

Always read the instructions, as some brands recommend up to 60 days.

I would wait 45 days to be completely safe. What are you going to do to make sure you end up with beautiful stained concrete floors?

An acid stain is meant to soak into the concrete, not just lay on top of it.

If you don't treat the floors, the stain will sit on the surface and be vulnerable to foot traffic and furniture.

You can either rent a floor sander from Home Depot or use a solvent-based stripper to remove the seal from the concrete floor.

Methylene-chloride based strippers can be hazardous to breathe if they get on your skin, eyes, or other body parts.

Home Depot and Lowe's don't typically carry acid-based concrete stain, unless you live in the backwoods, and most likely there is at least one store in your town that deals in professional acid stain products.

I don't think wood stain can be used on concrete because it's coating the concrete more than becoming part of it.

Acid stain has a chemical reaction with the concrete that helps ensure a smooth and deeper bond between the stain and the floor.

If you have to use wood stain, be prepared for it to flake off easily and to apply it regularly.
