Operators must present proper registration or documentation of vessel origination. And, the vessel must pass a vessel inspection. Our reservoirs are open on a seasonal schedule that may vary due to changing water levels.
Do you have to pay for Vasona Park?
Hours and Fees The park is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. until sunset. Vehicle entrance and lake use fees are collected year round. Fees are also required for group picnic reservations.
Can you paddle board in Vasona Park?
We offer kayaks, stand up paddleboards, pedal boat, canoe, and sailboat rentals. While on the lake, children 0-12 must wear a life jacket at all times (provided with boat rental).
Can you swim in Vasona Reservoir?
Boating and fishing are permitted at Vasona Lake, which is also one of the county's reservoirs. Swimming is not allowed.Apr 8, 2019
Can I bring my own kayak to Lake Chabot?
If you are launching your own watercraft (boat, sailboat, kayak or canoe, or inflatable craft) at Contra Loma, Del Valle, Lake Chabot, Quarry Lakes, or Shadow Cliffs, be prepared for mandatory watercraft inspection. Wet watercraft, or watercraft with wet motors or gears will not be allowed to launch.
