If the payment still needs to be accepted you can cancel the payment. You need to work quickly before the recipient accepts the payment. Once the money has been transferred (AKA the payment is accepted), you will not be able to cancel the payment.
Why can't I cancel a pending payment on PayPal?
If a payment you sent is unclaimed, that means the recipient hasn't registered any PayPal account or hasn't confirmed the email address yet.
