Can you use oVertone more than once?

Can I mix two oVertone colors together?

Absolutely! We love seeing what mixing our shades will do and we love seeing multi- colored strands too! For instance, pink goes well with red or purple - but mixing pink with green or teal may end up with some funky brown or grey results, since they cancel each other out as opposites on the color wheel.

Can I add dye to oVertone?

In a nutshell, oVertone is a line of color depositing conditioners made to keep fantasy colored hair bright and bold 24/7, without the typical fading caused by washing, styling, and the like. While the oVertone conditioners are not hair dye, they can be used to deposit color on your colored or natural hair.

How do you get the best results with oVertone?

For even brighter color results, apply oVertone conditioners to clean, dry hair. Make sure you wear an old t-shirt or something you don't mind getting color on. Without water molecules in the way, the hair cuticle can absorb more pigment. More pigment means more color!

Can you leave oVertone on for 30 minutes?

Sticking with the recommended time. After lots of testing and development, we found that 10 to 15 minutes was all the time hair needs to soak up our head-turning colors. Leaving it on longer won't harm your hair since all of our Coloring Conditioners are vegan, cruelty-free, and contain no harsh chemicals.

Can you mix color depositing shampoo?

Mix 2-3 conditioners together to create a shade all your own. Don't go overboard though; mixing too many colors together will give you a murky gray-brown shade (just like when you'd mix all the fingerpaints together as a kid). Some of our more pigmented shades can cause temporary staining after application.

How long can you leave oVertone in your hair?

We recommend that our Daily Conditioners stay in for about 3-5 minutes, and our Coloring Conditioners about 10-15 minutes.
