Cleaning historic glass is one of the ways to clean Hazy Glass. Old House WebCloudy Tempered Glass Table Top is a good option for cleaning glass.

How do you clean hazy glass?I'm pretty sure you've asked this before if you have an old house. It is amazing how clean the glass is.When the old wavy glass is brought back to its original shine it completely changes the look and feel of the room.

There are better ways to get a more beautiful shine with simple products like I will discuss below.

The video shows you the techniques and results of cleaning. If you have your glass out during the window restoration process, you can use these techniques. You can subscribe to my channel for more videos like this by clicking here.

Most people need to clean their glass in place rather than having it out on the table, but the process is the same, except that it's a little harder to reach. You can do this full de-hazing process if you can safely access the outside of the window.Unless you plan to pull the sash out to restore your windows, a simple washing is all you can expect unless you have good access to the window.

The easiest way to clean the glass is with simple dish soap and water.Rather than just a light mist, you can really drench it.The built up dirt and grime will be softened by this.

If you have a glass razor scraper, grab it and scraper it across the surface of the glass.A majority of the gross build up will be removed with this.If you dig into the wood, be careful not to damage it.

If you want to get any of the left overs, rinse the glass with some clean water and wipe it clean with a rag.If the glass looks good, you can stop here, but if you still have a hazy appearance, then move onto step 4 below.

If you want to get rid of mineral deposits and stubborn haziness, you need a glass polishing compound like CRL Sparkle. We polish our glass because it gives it a shine. It is similar to getting your car's headlights polished. It lightly polishes the surface.

The polish should be applied in a circular motion with a clean rag.Rub the surface to remove the build up.After it develops a hazy, white appearance, you can buff it off with a new clean rag.You should be left with a shiny new piece of glass once you have all the remnants off.

The job is much easier if you have the glass out of your sash during the restoration process. To let the glass soak in the water and dish soap mixture for as long as you can, I prefer to find a tub of some sort.It makes the cleaning process much easier by making the leftover paint softer.

The process is the same as above.Don't use the chemical glass cleaners if you're going to glaze and paint your window because I've seen them cause issues with paint adhesion.Make sure to stick with simple soap and water because ammonia is not a good friend of new paint.

I like working with my hands and teaching others how to do it themselves.Everything can be taught if you only give it a chance.

I think what you said made sense. What about this?If you were to create a killer title, what would you do?I'm not saying your content isn't good, but what if you added something to grab a person's attention? How To: Clean Hazy Glass is boring. You should look at Yahoo's home page to see how news titles are created to get people to open links.Adding a related video or picture will grab people excited about what has been written. It might bring your posts a bit more livelier.

No.There is a film on my window, but not the good kind.It is hazy but translucent. It looks like it is on the door. There was a mist that was too close to the truck.Got it that way.It looks like it has been there awhile. Will not budge with paint removal. The wool has no effect. Was just shopping for ideas.

I have a dark glass coffee table with a large circle on it that won't come off.It looks like something was put on it.It is very strange.Does this sound familiar to you?I cover it because it's driving me crazy and I can't get it out.

I have a thick glass table.I've tried everything.Someone may have used a sander on it.Any suggestions? Some areas are not cloudy.

I have tried many things.I think I have hazy streaks because of pesticide spraying.Suggestions on how to eliminate them?

0000 steel wool and a can of elbow grease work well and don't scratch the glass. There is a plan for the steel wool dust. You can use compressed air or your favorite vacuum attachment.

I wouldn't touch steel wool. There are a few panes that have dull areas around the edges. Some glass may be softer. There are razor blades, soap and water.

You have previously mentioned films for glass insulation that can either trap the heat inside or block it out while letting visible light in.Do you have any favorite products? Is it a good idea to put the films on before the glass goes back into the frame, or is it better to wait until the window has been fully restored? As always, thanks.
