You can explore the BLOG.

There is an endless assortment of milks on the market.A2 milk and Fairlife milk are two varieties of cow's milk that claim to be better. We look at how these claims hold up.

A2 Milk Cows milk may be different from other milks due to the presence of a1 and a2.There was a time when cows only produced a2As a result of modern farming, dairy cows have evolved to produce both a1 and a2.

In 2000, the founder of the a2 Milk Company formed his company after identifying select cows that only produce milk with a 2.Proponents of a2 milk believe that too much a1 in milk contributes to many adverse health outcomes. The strongest claim is that individuals who report gastrointestinal discomfort after consuming ordinary cow's milk do not report the same symptoms after drinking milk that only contains the a2Protein.

There is research to back this up.A human-based study that was supported by the a2 Milk Company found that the symptoms of individuals with self-reported lactose intolerance disappeared when they drank a 2 milk instead of regular cow's milk.In another human-based study, researchers looked at reactions in people who did not report any difficulty consuming regular cow's milk and found that while consuming a1 milk, individuals had higher gut inflammation, abdominal pain and bloating, but while on a2 milk they didn't have any ofWhy did this happen? One reason could be related to the byproduct of a1 alpha-casein, which is not produced from a2 alpha casein.

The benefit of a2 versus a1 milk is one of the claims. There are claims that a1 could be linked to risk of type 1 diabetes, but this is not supported by the research. There are other claims that a1 milk contributes to SIDS.

There isn't enough evidence to say if the effects of BCM7 are linked to a higher risk of type 1 diabetes. There is strong evidence that a2 milk is easier to digest. If you have trouble drinking regular milk, you can try a2 milk to see if it makes a difference.

Fairlife Milk claims to be higher in calcium and lower in sugar than regular milk.It is free of dairy products. The company claims the process is similar to making Greek yogurt.

Unlike Greek yogurt, Fairlife milk is made by combining the different components of the milk in different proportions. The result is milk that contains more calcium and less sugar than regular milk.Fairlife is fortified with vitamins A and D and is made from sustainable farms.
