A wheat product called bulgur has been parboiled, dried and ground to a powder.Middle Eastern, southern Asian and European cuisine has this cereal in common.bulgur can be cooked quickly with boiled water or you can use it in recipes.

Step 10: Remove the liquid from the bowl or saucepan.

There is a narrow opening between the lid and bowl.The bulgur should not drain with the water because of the small holes in the strainer.

Step 11: The bulgur has a fork.

To make it taste better, add salt, pepper, herbs and spices.A quick tabbouleh salad can be made with 1/3 cup of salsa, chopped fresh parsley and 1 heaped spoon.There is olive oil.

Step 12: Put 1/2 of a medium onion in water.

Step 13: Add additional vegetables, such as carrots, mushrooms, or bitter greens.

You can add as many vegetables as you want for a 1-dish meal.They should be Sautéed until they are softened.

Step 14: The garlic will be in the pan.

When the garlic is fragrant, cook for 1 minute.

Step 15: Place 2 cups in a container.

Remove the pan from the bottom and stir into the vegetables.If you choose, you can use water.

Step 16: Put the liquid in a pot and boil it.

Step 17: bulgur will be put into the pan.

When all the ingredients are combined, stir well.

Step 18: Take the pan off the burner.

The lid should be placed over the top.

Step 19: Allow the grain to sit for a while.

This method is best when bulgur is medium or coarse.

Step 20: The lid should be removed with a fork.

Before adding seasonings, you should taste the result.

Step 21: You should serve immediately.

As needed, pour off excess liquid.
