Cornstalk decorations are easy to make for Halloween and fall celebrations.
Step 1: Get a magazine.
Step 2: The stapler needs to be removed.
Step 3: Place one of the pages on the table.
Step 4: There is a second page at the end of the first one.
Overlap is only about 2 inches.
Step 5: When you get to paper #2, the paper will be rolled up as well.
Step 6: If you want to overlap paper #2 with paper #3 before the end of the paper, you have to get another sheet from the magazine.
Step 7: Continue and repeat the above steps until you have 20 sheets of paper.
Step 8: It should be about one to two inches in diameter when all the paper is rolled up.
Step 9: If you want the outer paper to stay together, tape it to the roll.
Step 10: Carefully take scissors and cut 1/2-inch-wide, 1 1/2 inch-long sections in one of the ends.

Step 11: If you're into sci-fi, you can put your finger into the cut end of the paper and pull out the inner papers to make a long cone.

Step 12: Along the entire length of the "Cornstalk", bend down the leaves.

Step 13: The base of the "stalk" can be folded to provide support for your final product.
If you want to put it inside a planting pot, lean it against a wall.
Step 14: There is a roll of brown paper.
The roll is available for $3 at Office Depot.The label says 40LB.900 feet is 274.3 m.47008-OD.The technique can be used with that.The result will be six foot tall.
Step 15: Roll at least six feet of paper.
Step 16: Curl the sheet into a roll that is about one and a half to two inches in diameter with an inside diameter of at least one inch.
Make at least 11 turns.You cannot complete cuts if you use up to 20 turns.
Step 17: Three eight inch cuts should be made from the top.
Step 18: Put glue on the bottom.
The rubber bands should also work.
Step 19: Pull the sleeve out from the top by twisting the paper a bit.
Step 20: It's a good idea to spray paint with deep fall colors.
Step 21: To make tepee shaped corn stands for a church decoration, make 30 or so and bind them at the top and bottom.
