I was lucky enough to taste the 1998 Antinori Solaia several years ago and it was one of the most delicious and special wines I had ever had.It is worth a few hundred bucks now, but it was worth every penny and raised my bar for fine wine.I've been looking for Antinori wines ever since.
The Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre is a great Italian bargain buy at the same price as the entry level Antinori.You can't go wrong between the two, but I prefer the Allegrini.
