Cricket is a different game to 501, you can prefer one or the other, but 501 is simply the version fit for professional game. Therefore all the US players playing cricket instead of 501 have a massive disadvantage.

The game is not big in the US, and the governing bodies are not as tight or organised as in the UK. Darts is a UK pub game really, and was made fashionable in the UK in the 70's and 80's, players were made stars and the game grew rapidly - but only really in the UK.
