Is this the earlier version of the psu from bitmain that cannot run s9's unless i have 220v? Answer: This is the newest PSU from Bitmain, but that doesn't mean you can run an S9 with it over 110v. The S9 requires 1323-1372 watts and this PSU can only output up to 1200W when using 110v.
Can you mine with 110v?
Many miners can run off of either a 110v or 220v outlet, so you'll need to purchase the type of power cord that will match your input outlet. If you only need to run one miner and the power supply you've picked has a high enough output with an input of 110v then you'll be fine with just the 110v outlet.

Can you run Antminer S9 on 120v?
Answer: it will run an S9 on 120v (120V x 14A Max = 1680W) I have 2 S9's that each run off their own APW3++ Bitmain 12-1600 PSU (one is A3, the other is B3 but im not sure that this matters at all). Each S9 powers up to 1550W MAX, 12.75A MAX during the start up routine , then they even out to 1445W each and stay there.
