It's definitely dark, action packed, as well as funny and lighthearted at times. I like Bungo stray dogs because the characters have flaws, they aren't perfect, they have personalities and families and objectives. The characters have likes and dislikes and different relationships with people.

If so, than yes it is definitely a good anime. I particularly like how the characters are actually based on real literary figures hence the “Bungou” (literary) part of the name. Most of them are Japanese but in later seasons figures from other countries do make an appearance.
