The FireStick receives streaming TV through your home Wifi, but the FireStick also transmits back to the web using its own WiFi transmitter. So if you looked at WiFi signals at your house on an analyzer you would see a signal on the same WiFi channel as your main WiFi. Mine does not show any SSID.
