What is Garmin Express for?
Garmin Express is a desktop application that helps you manage and update your Garmin devices. Express will save its information so you'll always know when updates are available, even when you don't have the application open, or when your device isn't connected to the computer.

How do I connect Garmin Express?
- Go to the Garmin Express webpage.
- Click Download for Windows (Pictured below)
- Run the downloaded GarminExpress.exe or GarminExpressInstaller.exe file.
- Review the terms and conditions, then click the checkbox.
- Click Install.
- Once the installation is complete, click Launch Garmin Express.
Is there a Garmin Express app?
The Garmin Express™ application is available for Windows® and Mac® computers. On your computer, go to garmin.com/express. Select an option: To view the system requirements and verify the Garmin Express application is compatible with your computer, select System Requirements.
Can I get Garmin Express on my iPhone?
Garmin Express is an application designed to manage Garmin devices. NOTE: Garmin Express is not compatible with tablets or phones and must be used with a computer that features a USB port for a data cable or ANT+ Stick to communicate.
Issues with Garmin Express are usually attributed to out-of-date software or poor communication with a connected device. USB charging cables do not allow Express to communicate with the device. Restart the computer and try again.
Can I update my Garmin without Garmin Express?
If you have an existing myGarmin profile from an older device, but don't have Express installed on your computer, you can do it manually. As the program installs on your computer, it will also update the GPS software on your Garmin to the current version.Jun 8, 2017
