Does the Ove Glove really protect your hands?

The Ove Glove aims to overcome all of the drawbacks of ordinary oven mitts. It fits like a glove, but does it really work as advertised?

If you have ever burned your hand while using an oven mitt, you know that they don't work as well as they should.

The hot pan you are taking out of the oven may burn your fingers if you have a low quality oven mitt.If you can't get a good grip, you might drop the pan.

The Ove Glove tries to provide a mitt that will allow you to get a good grip in hot weather. They tried to make the best oven mitt available by addressing both the issue of bulkiness and mitt not fitting the hand, and not really protecting from long-term or very high heat exposure. But have they succeeded?

The Ove Glove is made with the same type of material that they make firefighter gear with.

They claim that you can use the Ove Glove in more than just the kitchen, such as using the barbecue grill, arranging logs in the fireplace, or changing a hot light bulb.

Television marketing is all about getting worked up about silly products. The Ove Glove needs to make it seem exciting so people will buy it.The ads are effective and they are good at showing what you can expect when you use it.

The cost of the glove is very reasonable. You can get a 2 pack from Amazon for $30.You might be wondering why you would need two of them. You can either give the second one away or designate it as the one you use on the grill.

If you want to use the Ove Glove, you need to replace whatever you currently use in the kitchen with it.You have to get your fingers into it, so it may take a little longer to put it on.

The Ove Glove looks and feels like it does.It is just the right amount of thickness, not thick or thin.It is stretchable for different hand sizes when you have it on.

It almost feels like it won't work when you put it on.Your brain is telling you that the light won't be able to protect you from heat. You see that you are protected from the heat when you test it out on a hot pan.

The grips on the latest model make it great at grabbing things. It makes something that already worked better.

The Ove Glove allows you to be more flexible in the kitchen without the need for an oven mitt. You will have more control and less burns.

Grab an Ove Glove and you will never look back.It is important to not get it wet.The material is great for resisting heat, but not great at resisting water. It stays wet for a long time when it gets wet.

It is a good idea to keep it in a dry place in your kitchen.Considering the job it does, it is worth the price for an oven mitt.

I got burned twice in one day because we have not had gloves for a year.

They work as long as you don't wash them. They are not good as soon as you wash them.I haven't washed one of them. You know it's going to get nasty.I am disappointed.I wasted my money.

I don't agree with you.I bought gloves that didn't work.It didn't take long for them to wear out after I bought them from Walmart.I didn't have a chance to wash them.I felt like I was going to die.I would use winter gloves. You can get winter gloves for less at the dollar store.

I can't get my fingers in the 2-pack I ordered from Amazon.I can't use them because they are so tight.I am not sure if these are fakes or not, but they are useless.

I was late to the party, but I would recommend the Ove Glove more than any other ASOTV product. At any one time, we have 4 of them. They are not liquid proof, and liquid transfers heat very quickly. You will have a bad time if you spill grease on your glove.Don't use it around liquid. An internal waterproof barrier would have made a difference. They can be thrown in the washer and dryer to work as new.

We use ours in the kitchen until they are ready for BBQ Grill duty. They should be very much recommended.

The gloves seem to lose their effectiveness as they are washed.Maybe the weave loosens up, but they don't work as well when they are new.Grease and oil can't be washed out.Your hands will smell bad even from a short term use.I need something better that I can use with hot liquids, as they act like a sponge and will burn your hands, and this is my second pair.

I was considering buying some gloves.A friend gave me a pair of gloves. The gloves used by those who disassemble and clean commercial meat-slicing machines are thick and insulated like the ones I have. The blue palms and fingers on these gloves allow you to grab hot dishes and pans without burning your hands or fingers. You don't want to get the gloves wet, but they are just as effective as the Ove Glove. You can find insulated painters gloves at any hardware store.I have no bad feelings towards the Ove Glove, but I am sure there are cheaper alternatives.

I spent the whole time cringing and waiting to be brutally burned when I used this in the oven.I did not need to be wheeled to the hospital because of the scarring burns. The product works well and is a change of pace compared to the old fashioned oven mitt.I have the only problem with this thing. You would like me to pay thirty dollars for two gloves. It's Meh.Similar products on the market are cheaper and do not require shipping charges.

One of the best products I have ever purchased is the Ove Glove.I was a bit afraid at first, but I put the Ove Glove on and it makes it easy to take items from the oven and do all your cooking and baking. The grill is something I use the glove for.You don't have to worry about being burned if you use the glove to clean the grill. This would be great for restaurants. The cost is great and they are not bulky and don't take up space.I made a payment at Amazon.

I agree with you that the mitten style oven gloves are not good for handling hot pans and bakeware, so I am going to purchase this product. The control that I need to take my favorite meals out of the oven will be given by these gloves.I was happy to find this review and the comments.I have a couple of questions about them. How long do they last?My old gloves would last a long time, though they would eventually break down.

I have not heard of this item, but I would definitely try it.I might have to visit my local Bed, Bath & Beyond to see if they carry it or if I can order it on Amazon. If it works, I would prefer this to regular potholders. It would make a great wedding gift.I will keep this product in mind as I have a couple of showers coming up.

Ove Glove is amazing.I only use one of the packs, but it's always good to have a spare.I was fed up with the traditional mitt style glove so I tried these. The new pans have hot handles and I bought them. The Ove Glove makes it easy to pick up hot items because you have full control over your hands.
