Fix screw in spring hinge on your eyeglasses with iFixit.

The inspiration for my guide came from this repair video.A big thanks to Danliv99 for helping me fix my glasses.

The screw was inserted through the spring hinge.I was able to jam the spring open with the paperclip I had on-hand, but it couldn't fit into the tiny recess.

The screw won't fit through the arm because of the spring pulling on the hinge.

Don't push the pushpin into your finger if you just uncovered the small notch.

To keep the hole in the "extended" position, use a second pushpin when the spring hinge extends outward.

Once the spring hinge extends, there will be a small notch. If you wedge the second pushpin into that notch, the hinge won't go back inwards.

A good guide.Simple, straight forward and it works.I used a standard tack because it was the only thing I had.I was able to hold on to the tack while I put the arm in place. It worked out well.

I had no idea how to get the screw back in after it came out on my glasses, thanks again!I saved my life when I was about to leave my house to go see my family.

Excellent process and photos.I used a tiny screwdriver instead of a push pin because I couldn't get one to stay in the gap of my grant readers.A slightly different tool is the same idea. Thanks!
