Learning about Jesus is open to you.To deepen your understanding while seeking fellowship with Christ and other followers, you must decide how deeply to allow Christ to mold your life in new ways.The walk with Christ is amazing because you know you are loved by God, the Father and the Holy Spirit.It is possible to experience, and live as part of, the family of God, physically and spiritually walking in Christ's Life, as well as sharing community with others.
Step 1: Practice helpfulness, openness and humility.
Common men associated with laborers, Christ and his followers helped lepers and brought hope to other ostracized members of society.They lived on the road, often without a roof over their heads, and spent a lot of their time learning, quiet contemplation and preparing to take The Good News to all.It's important to know that you don't need to have a lot of things in order to follow Jesus.Simple words and messengers are used by God.The less self-centered trappings of the material world, the less distracted you will be from your message of Jesus: the way, truth and the life.I am the way Jesus is talking about in Heaven.To make it to Heaven, you have to forgive him.Take small steps.Make your life simpler.You don't need to join a ministry team or adopt a life as a mission if you study Christ and the Acts of the Apostles.Instead of watching tv in the evening, think of a passage that speaks to you.Pray for it.Do more for Christ and his people.Laying aside self-righteousness is a common area to work on among Christians.Jesus followers shouldn't be proud of their humility or their "spiritual" life.As a follower of Christ, focus, and center your life, but because it makes you feel better than others, you may choose how to follow.
Step 2: Talk about Jesus more.
He was a direct and completely honest talker to his followers, having nothing to hide, and having total confidence in his words.With friends and family, be honest and direct.Your life will become meaningless as a result.It's too common to speak with hidden motives in the workplace, at home, and in many relationships.Speak your mind with love even if you disagree nicely.People respect honesty and decency.
Step 3: You should love your neighbor as yourself.
There is a true Judge."Love never fails" and "God is love!"cultivate positive relationships with people, find the kindness in others, and be a friend to them.Don't think you're better off than you are.It is assumed that you will enjoy the company of new acquaintances and learn from others.Bear your load, help others bear theirs, tell the truth, and be kind through it all.Actively make time for people who are different from you, having different experiences and beliefs.Listen to them with an open heart and ask if they have considered this.
Step 4: You can learn a trade.
Mary's husband, Joseph, was a practicing carpenter for many years before Jesus went around preaching.Devoting yourself to a craft, trade, or skill can be helpful in allowing you to live more simply.Provide service for your fellow man, Christian and non if you are good at what you do.Be reliable and useful.
Step 5: Support the underprivileged by identifying and supporting them.
Who doesn't have a voice in your world?Who doesn't need to experience real, open channels of communication and fellowship in less privileged circumstances?Jesus sought out the marginalized and associated with the downcast to share His message and to help in real ways.Spending time with the less fortunate will expand your mind and help you empathise.You can volunteer at soup kitchens, shelters, or other organizations that help those in need.Be friendly with people and learn from them.Don't be a tourist in bad times and help others.There is a charity.You don't need to be a big donor.Your gift doesn't need to be money.Offer transportation, bus fare, a car ride, accompany an elder or sick neighbor to the doctor, or help an unemployed person find low priced or free groceries.Visit widows and orphans.You can surprise your grandmother with a visit.Get someone to deliver dinner for a friend who is having a bad spell and never mention it.Sending small gifts and writing letters of support to children or soldiers overseas is a good way to let them know you care.
Step 6: Find a church that meshes with your beliefs, involvement and charity.
You can work with church charities.Donations, mission-work, and other community operations are given a lot of weight by some churches.
Step 7: You should take up your own cross.
If you want to follow Jesus, you don't need to be a martyr, but you do have to fight for yourself.Give yourself the chance to be called greater than yourself.Wherever you find one, stand up for others' benefits.You should be a watchman for community standards.The issues of doubt will be experienced by Christian believers.No believer is without it.Christ had 40 days of temptation in the desert.He was completely man and was willing to do anything for us."Father, why have you forsaken me?" Christ asked on the cross.It is done.I commit myself to you!The conflict was over.There were victories over sin, death and the grave.You can deal with weakness, temptation, and doubt by being patient and covered by God's grace.Persistence and focus define your life as a person and a follower of Christ.
Step 8: Seek and receive God's gifts.
Bring some balance to the lives of Christians.Soldiering on in blind devotion to tradition while warming a church bench does not make you a Christian.It's important to support your beliefs.Constantly weigh them.Thanking God for everything.Stand for the teachings of Jesus and make them part of your daily life.

To the lay person, the tangle of different churches, branches, doctrines, and denominations can be overwhelming.You can explore your options and visit local churches to find a community that you would like to be a part of..If you're interested in the teachings of Christ, in cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus, but not in tradition and formality, then you might want to look into a protestant branch of the Church.The United Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Assembly of God and Episcopal branches are the most common protestant denominations.The Roman Catholic church split from the non-denominational Christian churches in the 16th century because of theological disagreements.The Church Jesus Christ established on Peter, a community of sinners seeking Christ in the real presence of Eucharist, and falling deeper in love with Christ through the sacraments He instituted, is known as the Roman Catholic Church.The catholic church is a global church with a home for all who are looking for peace, faith, forgiveness, and mercy through Jesus..The Orthodox church is conservative and serious if you're interested in traditional and historical ties to Christ.The Eastern Orthodox Church has great communities for genuine devotion to Christ.The Catholic church split from the Eastern Orthodox Church in the 11th century.
Step 10: There is fellowship with other people.
Try to attend a few different churches.Sharing beliefs and relationships with others is one of the most important aspects of following Jesus.A sense of community, family, and tradition can be given to followers of Jesus by finding a community of like-minded believers.Don't be afraid to visit a lot of churches.Feel it.If the ministers or preachers have open office-hours, you can visit and discuss your desire for community.Ask for help.Churches are happy to have new members.Once you've decided on one you like, talk to other members and church staff about the process of joining the church.You might need to attend a short class and complete abaptism.
Step 11: Get baptized.
Depending on which church you join, your membership will be symbolized with a publicBaptism.The pastor can immerse you, or sprinkle your head.It is important for Christians to follow Jesus because of the significance of being christened as Jesus did.This can be a huge commitment to Jesus.If you want to follow Jesus, you need to bebaptized.
Step 12: Be more than a member of the church.
You have become a card-carrying member of the church.Your life in Christ has just begun and this is an achievement.It's a good idea to go to church twice a week and read your Bible.Following Jesus is a full life that can't be defined.Only you can develop a personal relationship with Jesus.Spend time thinking about His teachings.Read a lot.Spread the word.Let your mind be changed by living the challenge of your life in Christ.
Step 13: You can learn about Jesus.
The story of Jesus is told in four different books in the Bible, with different ordering and content.Mary was conceived to a virgin, and Jesus was born in a stable.He became more than a prophet of God and a leader of men after he wasbaptized in the river Jordan.He was reborn after three days after being crucified at Golgotha.Christians believe that Christ paid for the sins of humanity and that we can be saved by believing in him.There are five stages to the life of Christ, recorded in Matthew 3, Mark 1, Mark 2, and John 1.Christ's public beginnings as a prophet and teacher are marked by the Baptism.Refers to one of Christ's major miracles, in which His followers observe Him radiate holy light on the top of the Mountain of Transfiguration, after which they communicate with Him.The episode is in Matthew 17, Mark 9, and Luke 9, but not in John.Referred to as the arrest, torment, and execution of Christ.He was arrested in Gethsemane and charged with apostasy and was nailed to a wooden cross with a spear.Christians believe His crucifixion was voluntary or at least a willing laying down of His life on behalf of humanity, of the entire Earth, not for one nation or people.Three days after being laid to rest, Christ rose from the dead in Matthew 27, Mark 15, and John 19.His body was no longer subject to the laws of nature after 40 days, when he appeared to His followers.On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate an event in which Jesus called his disciples to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, spoke to them, and ascended into Heaven.The event is recorded in several books, including the first book of Timothy chapter 3.
Step 14: Learn what Jesus taught.
The teachings of Jesus can be found in the books of the Bible, as he traveled and ministered to thousands of people.His teachings are usually in the form of parables and stories, which are often cryptic, poetic, complex, and beautiful.Matthew is the book in which Jesus speaks and teaches the most.Matthew 5-7 contains some of the most important teachings of Jesus.The Lord's Prayer and the Beatitudes are important parts of Christian belief and theology.This chapter is important to read if you want to know what Jesus and his followers believed."Gathering them together, Jesus commanded them to wait at Jerusalem, until they receive what the Father had promised."It appears in Matthew 10.Christ instructed his disciples in their behavior and worship.To learn how to be a good follower of Christ, you need to read this chapter.In Matthew 13, Mark 4, and John 15, it appears periodically.These are simple stories told by Jesus, with complex metaphors and dealing with a variety of topics.The "Good Samaritan," "The Leaven," and " The Two Debtors" are famous parables.It appears in John chapters 14 and 17Christ's address to His disciples was recorded the night before his death.It's one of the most moving passages in the Bible."I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that he may be with you forever, because the world cannot receive it," John said.Christ foretold the end times, times of great tribulation and his return in this prophecy.There are different interpretations of the prophecy.
Step 15: You can learn about the historical Jesus.
In historical records and religious traditions, Jesus is a leader of men with humble beginnings.Josephus and Tacitus wrote about His existence in the early Christians, who formed and taught after His death.Josephus wrote that Jesus was a wise man and a learned teacher, and both recorded his execution as a major historical event.At some point between 2 and 7 B.C., in a small town called Galilee, Jesus of Nazareth was most likely a carpenter, who experienced visions and was accepted as a teacher and healer in the community.His Crucifixion is accepted as historically certain.Christ can be seen in other religious traditions.According to Islam, Jesus is one of the prophets to Mohammed, while in Hinduism, he is an incarnation of Vishnu.
Step 16: Bring Christ to your world.
The ancient world described in the Bible is one of the most difficult things to understand about the teachings of Jesus.The message can get muddied somewhere in all the "thous" and "thees".It is important to imagine what Jesus would say about your life and the world at large.Jesus has a lot to say about how the world could and should be.The teachings of Jesus of Nazareth have been misquoted, misinterpreted, and misrepresented.If you want to follow Jesus and allow this devotion to change your life in the image of Christ, you need to learn about him from the Bible.Go to the source.Look at his words.Struggle with them.You should bring them into your life.The Christian Bible is considered the "Word of God" by most Christians.It wasn't out of thin air in 20th Century American English.You may be able to see the real messages of Christ in the Bible if you read the previous translations more often.Be careful who you accept and believe in.Interpreters can change the sense, feel, and impact of important texts with bold word choices.When you want trusted, objective translations, are these new subjective interpretations?There was no guile or treachery in Jesus.Jesus said "I am the truth, the life and the way," according to the scriptures.The truth will set you free, and also promised peace and freedom.

Step 18: When you're ready, teach others about Jesus.
Share your beliefs with others when you feel more confident.Don't hide your belief, wear it as a Badge.Don't push your belief onto others if they are unwilling to listen or learn.Too many arguments occur because of an unwillingness to listen.You don't have to convince someone that you're right.Discuss your relationship with Jesus and what you've learned from your studies.That's the best you can do, and the most honest approach.
Step 19: You can help the church by volunteering your time and resources.
Churches can only exist with small donations.Donate some time to help the church succeed.Encourage others to join your church.If you treat it as a fun activity and invite people, you don't have to guilt them into it.I would love to have you visit with me.Give some of your time to the upkeep of the church.One less thing that needs to come out of the till is if you know about electrical work.One less thing for the pastor to worry about is if you can lead a prayer group.Become a stronger member of the church by taking on responsibilities.
Step 20: Consider devoting time to mission work if you travel.
It's important that you don't get stagnant in your way of life as you expand your belief and relationship with Jesus.It's easy to think that all our problems have been solved.We have Jesus!It is easy to become small-minded.If you want to avoid ruts, you need to get out of your comfort zone.Go to other places, read other types of books, embrace counter-arguments and other ways of thinking.Be a good person in the world.Many churches organize mission trips, often with Habitat for Humanity, building houses or performing other services in many regions of the world.You can organize a mission trip at your church.It can be a moving experience.
