HEC is a world class business school situated in Montreal, a primarily French speaking city (well, to be honest, bilingual city).Bachelor Degree courses are primarily in French; some are also available in Spanish and in English, mostly to accommodate exchange students. If you don’t speak French at all, I am not sure you are even qualified to get accepted as a full time student for the Bachelor Degree programs.

Some specialized Certificates, Master’s Degree, MBA, and PhD programs are available fully in English or Spanish. These program usually are very popular with international students. As for working in Montreal, I don’t agree with the answer below.

Most interesting positions are awarded to competent candidates that speak both languages, unless the position requires little interaction with other people (off the top of my head I can’t find many examples; perhaps lab or research work). As soon as you need to interact with other professionals within and outside an organization, solely speaking English severely restrains your employment perspectives in Montreal.

Actually, Montreal is a bilingual city. The top college here (McGill) is English speaking.I used to work in downtown Montreal (the business district) and almost all the businessmen/professionals only knew English.
