The company broke ground on a $485 million expansion of its tire factory in Pulandian, China.A ceremony took place with Lu Lin, deputy mayor of Dalian, China.
The expansion will increase the plant's capacity by 5 million tires a year, allowing it to meet the strong and growing market demand for premium, large-rim-diameter consumer tires in China and the Asia Pacific region.Sixty percent of the company's replacement tire sales in China will be tires with rim diameters of 17 inches or greater.
