The most common Zombie form is the Standard Zombie.They are the result of a standard Headcrab jumping onto a victim's head and taking over their nervous system.
A Headcrab will assume control of most, if not all, of their motor functions after attaching to a host.zombies have been observed using this modification to feed, by ripping chunks of flesh off of corpses.
The host's head is bent up and back, forcing his jaw in and out.The victim has an unnerving "screaming" appearance as a result.The skin is pale, the eyes are closed, and the hair is matted with blood.
In most cases, a Headcrab remains attached to their host until the Zombie is destroyed, although in Half-Life 2, they will occasionally detach from the host if rendered immobile.The lower half of the headcrab zombie's body may be lost, but they are still able to crawl along using their arms.The Zombie is more dangerous at close range than they were intact.
