How can I connect a portable dishwasher to a laundry hook up?

There is a decent sized laundry room in the duplex that I just moved into.I brought my portable dishwasher with me when I moved.I don't have enough counter top space to position the dishwasher near the sink.I have more space in the laundry room, so I'm considering splitting the water and drain hookups for the washing machine and dishwasher.
Is it possible without too much trouble?What is the best way to make this type of modification?
If you need to keep the quick connect device, how much trouble will it cause?If it needs to remain, you will need to somehow transition from a hose end fitting of the washer connection to something that fits on the faucet.There will be a gender issue where the male and female are the same, requiring a femalexfemale faucet coupler, which I've never seen before.
One of the issues is how to connect the drain outlet to the extension hose.Depending on the drain outlet configuration, this may be easy or difficult.The quickDisconnects are not a problem over the sink.There is a possibility of a leak in the laundry room.
If you are willing to cut off the quick connection, it's a simple matter of getting standard brass garden hose fittings and fitting them to the cut hose ends.Try to find out if the inside hose diameter is compatible with the available fittings.
As long as the hoses are compatible size and short lengths of hose remain attached to the quick connect, you can use brass hose couplers to connect the disconnected hoses.
The specification of brass fittings must be secured with screw drive clamps.The plastic fitting won't hold up to the pressures of the installation.

I used a clothes washer size hose to convert the water input hose.First to 1/2 inch.Then to 1/2 inch.I put a brass barb converter on the end of the water hose from the dishwasher.
I used a regular dishwasher to sink the drain pipe, but left the top open so my washer could drain down the side of the house.
