Go to the AAA office that's the closest to your towing company. Make sure to bring originals or copies of all your permits, licenses, and insurance policies. Let them know that you would like to apply to be a contractor for roadside assistance and fill out the application while you're in the office.

Can I join AAA and use it immediately?
AAA Basic Membership benefits are available immediately to members upon joining. Plus and Premier service is effective 7 days after enrollment or upgrade payment is received. NOTE: Preexisting breakdowns are restricted to AAA Basic emergency roadside benefits, regardless of join or upgrade dates.
Who is eligible for AAA?
AAA membership benefits are for individuals and are non-transferable. Members receive service in any eligible vehicle (4-wheeled, motor driven car or truck; Service will not be available to vehicles equipped with oversized wheels and/or tires.) as a driver or passenger, even a rental car.
