- Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Perform the following steps to remove the battery: Disconnect the battery cable from the system board [1]. Remove the M2x4 (7) screws that secure the battery to the computer [2]. Lift the battery off the computer [3].
