The ideal fit would be for your foot to fit exactly on the foot bed without your heel or toes hanging off the edge. The sandals are tight on my feet, is this normal? Rainbow Sandals take time to break in. Also, wearing a pair of socks with the sandals will help protect your skin while the straps mold to your foot.
Are Rainbows sandals true to size?

How long do Rainbows take to break in?
For the inexperienced Rainbow wearer, an important thing to note is the tightness in the straps when you first wear them. It takes a week or two to break them in and it may feel slightly uncomfortable at first, but I promis you, it is totally worth it to fight past that. Once they shape to your foot, they are amazing.

When buying Flips flip-flops, we recommend buying a half inch size bigger than your heel-to-toe measurements for a more relaxed fit. For a more snug fit, choose the exact measurement. So for a 9.5” heel-to-toe measurement, choose Size 6 for a more snug fit and Size 7 fit.
