How do street sweepers work in places with falling leaves and or snow

IN BOSTON THEY STOP CLEANING STREETS FROM NOV. TO MARCH.OUR STREET CLEANERS DON’T PICK UP FALLEN TRASH, LET ALONE LEAVES & THE SNOW REMOVAL IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.IT SHOULD BE REMOVED, THEN MELTED & THROWN DOWN THE SEWERS, BUT ONLY CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THAT CITY HAVE THAT GOING ON.

How do street sweepers work in places with falling leaves and/or snow?

In Montreal, street sweeping trucks will generally do a last minute cleanup after the leaves have fallen completely so they won’t clog the storm drains – they don’t operate in the winter.

Sweepers stop working after December 1st presumably when all the leaves have fallen and/or there is snow on the ground.

Earlier in northern cities.
