- Insert an already programmed master key into the ignition. Do not turn.
- Press and release the gas pedal 5 times.
- Press and release the brake pedal 6 times.
- Remove the key from the ignition.
- Insert the new key you want to program into the ignition.
- Press and release the gas pedal one time.
- Wait 1 minute.
Can you replace a Lexus car key?
What information will my dealer need to replace them? Keys can be obtained from the Parts Department of your local Lexus dealership. Please note, the Lexus dealer will require proof of ownership and a valid photo ID in order to release the key. The dealership will need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
