To bleed, hold the lighter in a vertical, upright position. Depress the filler valve with a small screwdriver, until all fuel is expelled and the hissing stops. Shake lighter, then repeat to ensure it is completely bled.
Are all Torch lighters refillable?
Your typical Bic-style or disposable lighter is not refillable. Once the fuel runs out of a disposable lighter, there is no way to replenish the gas tank. When a lighter has a valve at the bottom, you can insert the stem from a can of butane to add fuel to the tank.

Are Vertigo lighters good?
I've now had one of these lighters for 6 months and still going strong. In fact I ordered a 2-pack from Amazon to have as a spare and/or gifts. I can't recommend this lighter more highly. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, great 3-torch flames and easy to see fuel level.
How do I adjust my vertigo lighter?
No screwdriver needed. The fuel port has a little black lever that pops out and you can adjust the flame by twisting with your fingers. Then just fold the black lever back down into place.
The only way to definitively solve either problem is by emptying the lighter and refilling it with fresh butane. 3 Refill the lighter if the flame grows without being adjusted, or if the flame gets very short. The butane lighter is low on fluid and needs a refill. Refill it according to the butane instructions.
