I bought a pound of fresh scallops from the seafood counter at the market today, but I am not going to cook them tonight because I don't want to freeze them.I don't know how long they will stay fresh in my refrigerator.
No more than 72 hours.You don't know how long they've been out of the water.I would cook or freeze them by tomorrow evening.
It is my understanding that the scallops have to be frozen within minutes of being caught.
