How long does Jetboil Fuel last?

The first one is a 100g canister which weighs in at 201g on my scales, and the second one was used 2 weeks ago to boil about 3 litres.
My computer died, so can't get to my ger list, but you could go to the store and weigh the full ones, then subtract the weight of the gas, should give you a decent approximation.
I will call the store and ask if they can weigh them for me.
It's about right for a full canister of 4oz and 8oz.It is less than 4oz and more than 8oz.I think it's 100% for canister weights vs gas weights.canisters that weigh more than 1/3 of the fuel weight are more efficient.I got various manufacturors about 7 years ago.I got 5.8 and 7.2oz between canisters.Even amung the same manufaturor, they vary.Fuel, metal thickness, rolling, sealing, valves, etc.The ounce usage has been dropped in favor of the metric weights.I remember Coleman canisters being the heaviest.
Alcohol and canisters are about the same.It only takes a 1oz bottle to carry up to 16 Floz.Adding in 100% for the can lowers the canister's starting price to about 11000BTU/lb.It isn't 100% fuel/can and it is more efficient with the on/off&simmer valve.
After adding in the container, WG is around 17000BTU.Kero is higher.This may drop slightly, but Hexamine or Esbit was about 12,000-13000BTU.
The trip takes 3 nights and 3 full days so I might just bring the two cartiages.
I never had a canister by JetBoil, but for other brands 100-110g canisters are usually 90-100 g when empty, and 220-230g are about 130-134g.
Yeah.canisters are less reliable than I would like.I would always bring a spare when I used them.A camp fire in the rain is not fun to cook over.
Is it printed on the canister?The fuel weight is printed on the top of the can.
I need to know the empty weight time to figure out how much gas is in them, I could always call Jetboil.
I looked in my notes and found that the total weight of the small canister I have is over 200 grams.The "tare" weight of the canister is 102 grams.
When you're done with your next trip, put a mark on your canister to keep track of usage.If your next trip is more than a couple nights, you should get a new canister.If I'm just boiling water, I get burns out of a small canister.
