How many outputs is a 75 kVA transformer?

A transformer with an input voltage of 480V will be installed in a small industrial plant. This transformer has a rating of 75,000 VA.The primary side current will be 90 amperes.

Since transformer are sized based on KVA we need to convert this number to Amp in order to know what the transformer is capable of.For a 100 KVA transformer, we will divide it by the number 100 x 1000.That gives us 416.67 Amps.

Measurement of apparent power in generators and transformers can be done with 1 kVA.A amp is a measure of electrical current. The kVA times 1,000 are divided by the Amps.
