US Navy Seals Probably one of (if not) the most well-known Special Ops group, the US Navy Seals are highly specialized and trained in the air, on the land and the sea.
Why does the US have so many Special Forces?
One big reason we have so many SOF units is manpower. The US Armed Forces are huge compared to other nations. This allows for more specialization and a larger bucket to dip from. The exception to this rule would be the IDF, as they have plethora of different, though smaller in size SOF units.
