Pete Marland, Labour leader of Milton Keynes Council, said he was "confident" it would still be built. The project was expected to be built on land close to Central Milton Keynes railway station, and would have welcomed 5,000 students within the first five years, with an ambition to grow to 15,000.7 Jan 2022
The Open University has its headquarters at Walton Hall in Milton Keynes, which is 80km north of Central London, midway between Oxford and Cambridge, and just off the M1 motorway, linking it to Birmingham and the north of England.
