On my view, there are the three key elements to transfer to an Ivy: You would be a competitive applicant to the Ivy right out of high school. You are doing an excellent job as a student in a prestigious college or university.Your current college or university lacks a program or specialization that the Ivy offers, thus your motivation to transfer. So if you want to major in Etruscan pottery or poetry, McGill does not offer that, but Yale does?

Most of the ivys take very few transfers annually and usually from other top 10 ranked schools.I would broaden my search and google the number of transfers. You did amazing and at this point just continue and you’ll likely get admitted to Yale for Grad school and MCGill is a top 50 school in the world anyways.

apply to few but likely Expect to stay put since so few spots are open for the top 10 annually.
