How To Abide in Christ

It is an excellent experience to abide in Christ. You can develop a personal relationship with Him when you become saved. This is what Christians want.If you keep God's ten commandments, you will be doing the will of God.John says that he is the vine and you are the branches. If you stay with me and I in you, you will get a lot of fruit. You can find out how to abide in Christ by reading this article.

Step 1: You need to recognize your need for Christ.

He said that he was the vine and you were the branches. No branch can produce its own fruit. You must be willing to be made willing in order for Jesus to help.Jesus can work through you if you humble yourself and do God's will. There are suggestions on how to be like the publican in the bible.

Step 2: Don't stay the same and change your mind.

If you believe that Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins so that those who trust in him may have true life and be free from the present evil age, then accept his free gift of salvation.Asking for God to transform your inner being and life is a good way to confess your sins.If you want to have a relationship with your heavenly Father, you need to turn away from sin and towards the great love of God in Jesus.

Step 3: Pray.

There is a need and a major opportunity. We need to be in constant contact with our Lord.Jesus taught us to pray while he was on earth. How much more do we need to pray if Jesus felt the need?God cares about you and everything that happens, from the smallest plea to the biggest need.Even though it sometimes feels like he isn't listening, he is always aware of your needs. If you "cast your burden on the Lord," then he will sustain you.Asking for God to make you more like Jesus and telling him about your goals in life are both ways to pray. You should ask for God's blessing before you read the book.

Step 4: You should read the Bible.

How can a young man cleanse his way?By following your word.Setting aside time for the bible is very important.Keep your mind fixed on it, and allow your heart to be molded by it.The story of God's work in this world is told in the Bible. You will see why your life matters as you begin to see your place within God's story. You can listen to God by reading the Bible."Sanctify them by your word," says John.

Step 5: Give thanks and be happy.

Every good and perfect gift is coming down from the Father, according to God.There are hundreds of reasons to thank God.Forgiveness of sins, power to overcome evil, breathing, for food, friends, the family of God, and more!If you are trusting in Jesus, you will be resurrected in the last day to enjoy an eternal life on the New Heavens and Earth. There isn't any better hope.

Step 6: God loves to satisfy his children with Jesus.

We may say to God, "We are hungry to know you, to be full of your spirit, so that we can escape from the penalty of our sin!"We want Jesus to be more than just food.Fasting is a way to put your faith in God.Christians are expected to fast, not out of any obligation, but because knowing Jesus means that we need to find more satisfaction in him.

Step 7: Ask God for strength.

John said, "If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments."God is our strength and no one can do anything for him by their own strength. We can't do anything important without him.It can be difficult to not sin, but with the help of God, we can do our best.Be sure to be confident in him.To not be tempted more than you can bear, no longer being a slave to self, and being pride of life, are some of the benefits of living in Christ Jesus.

Step 8: You can study Jesus' words.

As time allows, you can read "Matthew," "Mark", "luke" and "John" plus other scriptures. As in the Bible, be quickened, aware of God's small voice. If you have God's life in you, you should understand: Your thoughts should line up with Jesus' teachings, such as, "Love one another."He tells us to do as he says.Realize His power and use it to help the sick.If the spirit of the man that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he will quicken your mortal bodies as well.
