How To Activate Voicemail on Verizon

You can access your voicemail after you have activated your phone.You don't have to go to the store to have your voicemail activated.You can program it how you want once it's activated.The world of voicemail is waiting for you!

Step 1: Send from your phone by pressing *86.

If you dial your wireless phone number, your voice mail will answer, even if you don't have a personal phone.

Step 2: If you hear a greeting, press the # key.

Step 3: To change your voice mailbox options, follow the instructions to create a password.

The voice mail features include 20 messages, 3 minute length per message, and a 21 day hold period.

Step 4: To get the program on your phone, press the messaging icon and choose the visual voice mail link.

Step 5: You can use the voice mail application on your phone.

Further information about the visual voice mail can be found on the screen after selecting the program.You will be asked if you want to download the application and subscribe to the service.

Step 6: After you download the visual voice mail, launch it.

Step 7: Your Personal Identification Number will be entered.

In order to access visual voice mail, you have to have a regular Voice mail PIN.

Step 8: If you choose to do so, press "Yes" to subscribe to the visual voice mail.

You can see the service and subscription information on your display.

Step 9: Press the button to subscribe.

Step 10: Pick "I Accept" if you agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 11: Re-launching the visual voice mail will take 5 minutes.

Your visual voice mail inbox displays your messages on your cell phone screen, and an icon will appear upon the arrival of a new voicemail.The number or contact name of the caller will be included in the messages in your inbox.
