How To Add a CD to iTunes Library

Step 4: You can import music tracks from the audio CD into the CD drive on your Mac or PC.

To get your audio CD's information, the program will automatically search through an Internet database.This only takes a few seconds.The album will show up underneath the "Devices" column on the left hand side of the program once the information for your audio CD has been found.

Step 5: There is an audio CD on the left hand column.

The window will show all of the information on the CD.

Step 6: The "Import CD" button is located at the bottom of the window.

All of the tracks from your CD will be automatically imported into your library by ITunes, which will show its progress next to each track as well as at the top of its window.You can find the music you just imported by clicking on the "music" area under the Library heading in the left hand column.

Step 7: You can change the CD information by clicking once on the field you want changed and then clicking on it again, or you can type it in again.

If you want to change an entire field on the CD, you need to select all the songs in the audio CD and hold the "Control" key."Get info" can be found on the menu.You can change the artist name, genre, album name and so on.The entire CD can be done without selecting any individual tracks.Although naming your audio CD's information is not essential to being able to import your CD, it will allow you to find the songs you want to listen to and organize your iTunes library better by knowing which songs are which.
