You can learn how to find and connect with your friends on the app.You can view each other's friends-only stories when you befriend someone on the photo-messaging app.
Step 1: You can open it on your phone.
There is a yellow-and-white ghost icon on your Home screen.
Step 2: You can use your profile photo.
There is a camera at the top left corner.Your profile is displayed.
Step 3: Add friends by tapping.
It's in the "Friends" section.The Add Friends screen opens.Under the section, tap to see suggested friends.You can add friends by tapping next to their names.
Step 4: You can type your friend's name into the bar.
It is at the top of the screen.A list of matching results will appear when you type.There are two names for users of the ephemeral messaging service.The display name on your profile can be changed, as can the permanent name you create when you sign up.You can find results for both usernames and display names when searching for a friend.If your friend isn't coming up in the search, you should ask them for their usernames.The real name may not have been put on the display name.
Step 5: The person's name is next to the +Add button.
The person is added to the friends list.You will be given the chance to "Accept" the request if you've added them.You will be added to their friend list if they accept the request.
Step 6: You can open it on your phone.
There is a yellow-and-white ghost icon on your Home screen.When you use this method, your phone's contact list will be used to find people that have their phone number associated with your account.If a contact doesn't have a Snapchat account, you can ask them to create one.
Step 7: Go to your profile photo.
There is a camera at the top left corner.
Step 8: Add friends by tapping.
It's in the "Friends" section.
Step 9: All contacts can be tapped.
It is at the top right corner.If you have outstanding friend requests, this option will be below that list.
Step 10: Continue.
There is a button at the bottom of the screen.This will show a list of your contacts.If you don't have access to your contacts, you'll be prompted to give it access.tap and slide the "Contacts" switch to the On position if you're using an iPhone.Go back to the app, tap and select again, then return to your profile.You will be able to see the option.
Step 11: To add a friend, tap +add.
The person is added to the friends list.You will be given the chance to "Accept" the request if you've added them.You will also be added to their friend list if they accept the request.
Step 12: To see contacts that don't have the app, scroll to the bottom of the list.
Contacts who aren't yet on Snapchat will be found under the "Invite to Snapchat" heading.If you want, you can tap to send an invitation.The text message will contact the instructions for the app.
Step 13: You can open it on your phone or tablet.
The yellow-and-white ghost icon is on your Home screen or app list.If you want to accept a friend request and add them to your own list, use this method.
Step 14: You can use your profile photo.
There is a camera screen at the top left corner.
Step 15: Go to Add Friends.
It's in the "Friends" section.
Step 16: Accept a request from a friend.
You can see a list of friends at the top of the screen.You may need to tap below the list to see all of the requests.
Step 17: You can get a link to your friend's account.
Users of the ephemeral messaging service can easily share their profiles.You can add your friend as a friend by tapping the link in the message or email.The link will be similar to www.snapchat.com/add/username.You can find your friend's link by having them openSnapchat and tap their profile photo at the top- left corner.The yellow square with black dots is the top of your friend's profile.Your friend should choose the option to go to the link.Your friend can send the link to you in a message or email.
Step 18: To open it, tap the link.
You'll need to open the link on your phone or tablet.The page will open in your phone's browser when you tap the link.
Step 19: You can open the link in Snapchat.
Step 20: You can add a friend in the photo-messaging app.
The person is added to your friends list.The person will need to add you back in order to send snaps or stories.
Step 21: Have your friend open their account.
If you and your friend are in the same place, you can use the app on your phone.To find your friend's snapcode, they need to open the app and tap their profile photo at the top left corner of the screen.The yellow box at the top of the profile has a unique display of dots.If you're not in the same room with your friend, use the Using aSnapchat URL method.
Step 22: You can open it on your phone.
The camera screen will open to the ephemeral messaging service.
Step 23: Hold your camera above your friend's face.
It's important that you can see the entire snapcode in your camera.
Step 24: You can hold the snapcode on your camera screen.
This shows your friend's profile.
Step 25: To add a friend, tap them.
Your friend will be added to your friends list.Your friend will be asked to accept your request after you've added them.You will be able to see each other's friends-only content once they accept your request.
