You can block group texts on your phone by blacklisting the group using the Textra app or by turning off notifications for a group.Although most texting apps don't have the ability to block group texts specifically, if you want to permanently block the messages from the members of any group, you can individually block them.
Step 1: Messages can be open.
The app has a white speech bubble on a blue background.
Step 2: You can hold the group conversation.
Look for the group conversation that you want to keep quiet.There are additional options at the top of the screen.
Step 3: There is a tap.
The icon has a diagonal line going through it on the top-right of the screen.Your phone will no longer notify you of messages from the group conversation if this is enabled.
Step 4: There is an open textra.
The app has an icon that looks like a blue speech bubble with white curvy lines inside.If you want to blacklist a group conversation, you can download Textra from the Play Store.
Step 5: There is a group conversation.
You can blacklist the group text conversation by tapping it.
Step 6: You can tap.
The menu bar is at the top of the screen.
Step 7: You can tap.
The menu bar at the top of the screen has an icon with three vertical dots.This opens a menu.
Step 8: You can tap Blacklist.
The first option is at the top.A message will appear at the bottom of the screen saying the group conversation has been blacklisted.
Step 9: There is a tap.
To return to the main messaging menu, tap the left-pointing arrow in the top- left corner of the screen.You will no longer get texts from the group after the conversation is removed.You can un-blacklist the group conversation at any time by tapping on it.
Step 10: Messages can be open.

Step 11: The group is having a conversation.
Group conversations have more than two participants.
Step 12: You can tap.
There is an icon of three vertical dots in the upper-right corner.This will open the menu.
Step 13: You can tap people and options.
The first option is at the top of the menu.The settings page for the group text is opened.
Step 14: A member of the group is being tapped.
It's at the bottom of the page.The member's contact information and details can be opened by this.
Step 15: There is a tap.
The message icon is similar to a speech bubble with the word "Text" underneath.To the right of the phone icon is where it's located.A new text message conversation begins with the person or number.
Step 16: You can tap.
There is an icon of three vertical dots in the upper-right corner.This will open a menu.
Step 17: You can tap people and options.
The first option is at the top of the menu.The settings page for the group text is opened.
Step 18: The phone number is Tap Block.
This will display the contact's phone number.The settings page has the "Vibrate" option.This will open a confirmation window.
Step 19: To confirm, tap the block.
There is a pop-up window in the bottom-right corner.All text messages from this sender will be blocked.
Step 20: For the other members in the group text, tap and repeat this process.
